Follow the actual care instructions

Use the care requirements for the garment and decoration combination. A cotton tee, performance polo, embroidered cap and garment-dyed shirt can need different treatment. General advice should not override a specific label or instruction.

Where the instructions permit, turning printed items inside out and avoiding unnecessary high heat can be sensible parts of a care routine. Do not iron directly over a decoration. Ask if you need care guidance for a particular order.

Be thoughtful with garment-dyed apparel

Dye character and shade variation are part of many garment-dyed looks. Follow the manufacturer’s washing guidance and be aware of potential color transfer, especially when washing with lighter garments. A change in shade is not the same question as a print application fault.

When an exact shade is important across a uniform or repeat merchandise order, discuss that before ordering. Digital color displays and a previously purchased garment are references rather than a promise that every later dye lot will be identical.

Performance fabric and embroidery need their own review

The print or transfer system should suit a performance garment’s construction. Laundering, heat and the way a shirt stretches in use can all matter. An embroidered logo also depends on a stitch design and backing appropriate to the garment, not only on the thread color.

Caps and knit items should be treated according to their own instructions. A process suitable for a stack of cotton tees should not automatically be applied to every other item in a uniform kit.

Workwear faces more than the washing machine

Abrasion, sweat, sun exposure, equipment contact and repeated wear can affect a working garment. Tell us about those conditions while we are choosing the blank and method, particularly for landscaping, pool service, delivery or other active crews.

We aim to match the combination to the intended use. We do not promise that every shirt, process and working environment will produce an identical lifespan or remain visually unchanged for a fixed number of months.

If something seems wrong, keep the details

Inspect the order when it arrives. If you notice a problem, retain the affected garment and contact hello@bigbearapparel.com with the order reference, clear photos and a description of what happened. Let us review the issue before altering or discarding it.

Our order terms explain inspection and remedies without removing rights that cannot lawfully be limited. For repeat apparel, keep the accepted specification and care information with your order records so the next brief starts from the same facts.

Technical references

Current product details and the accepted order specification take priority over general guidance.
